Delhi – Agra tour is one of the most common and likeable weekend getaways. Agra is just 253 km from Delhi and is the considered as the epitome of romance and love. It is a town that lives mainly in the past and was once the seat of the Mughal rulers. Their passion for building endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world – the Taj Mahal a white marble mausoleum which took 22 years to build by 20,000 skilled artisans who inlaid the white marble edifice with precious and semi precious stones. The Agra Fort from where one can get the most moving view of the Taj from the little octagonal tower in the Agra Fort which lies across the river Jamuna. However, apart from the magnificent Taj Mahal, there are many other architectural marvels lying in and around the city.

Itinerary

DAY 1 – Delhi to Agra (210 kms, 4 hours)

On arrival at Delhi airport, drive to Agra. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Later, return to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2 – Agra

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Taj Mahal- one of the seven wonders of world and the epitome of love. Later, visit Agra Fort, which lies, across the river Jamuna. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 3 – Agra – Delhi

After breakfast on your second day, visit Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory), which was the capital of the Mughal Empire for about 10 years. Walk around inside the inner citadel of the city with your guide and see some of its finest monuments including Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid — one of India’s largest mosques. Depart for Delhi. Tour End.
