TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN GUWAHATI DRIVE TO SHILLONG (125 KMS/3 HRS DRIVE)
Arrive Guwahati by Air or Train, meet and greet at Airport or Railways station, after warm welcome you will be transferred to Shillong, approx. 3 hours’ drive En-route enjoy speed boating at Umiam Lake (BaraPani)
(NOTE: in case guest wants to visit Kamakhya Temple, we suggest Roop Darshan, for going to Garva Griha, VIP ticket cost INR 501 per person, counter opens at 0600 hrs. for Morning Darshan and at 1200 hrs. for afternoon Darshan, devotees need to obtain the ticket by themselves being on time rather before time be in queue/ guest can also enter temple without any VIP tickets, for that guest needs go in general Queue which will take many hours for Darshan)
SHILLONG: The romantic city of Shillong is one of the important tourist destinations in the northeast. The Romantic city, Shillong is often referred to as the “Scotland of the East” due to its striking similarity with the Scottish Highlands. Shillong has its own charm, different from other hill stations, and presents a natural scenic beauty with waterfalls, brooks, pine grooves and gardens. The place, the people, the flora and fauna and the climate all combine to make Shillong an ideal resort throughout the year. Local tribes like the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo tribes add color to this hilly city.
Afternoon enjoy the excursion of Shillong, visiting Golf Ground, Don Bosco Museum one of the worth visiting Museum in Indian, Museum focusing on local indigenous people & culture, with tools, clothing & artifacts on display. (Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays state and Centre Govt, 0900 hrs to 1730 hrs), Lady Hydari Park, (closed on Mondays) it’s a Scenic, manicured green space with flowering gardens, a water feature & a modest zoo. Cathedral of Marry Laitlum and can also enjoy boating at Ward Lake (on direct payment)

DAY 02: SHILLONG-JOWAI-KRANGSURI-LAILUM CANYONS (80 KMS/2-3 HOURS ONE WAY)
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel.
Morning proceeds to Jowai, located in the Jaintia Hills district, Jowai is famous for its scenic setting and breathtaking views – like all other cities of the state. The place is a rich mix of heritage and cultures which is reflected in the lifestyle of the town folks. Lakes are the main attraction of Jowai.
Later visit Krang Suri falls (carry clothes and towel to enjoy bathing in the fall) to reach the falls, it’s a long trek of 20 minutes.
After excursion of the fall, need to return to car again by same trekking and drive to Shillong
(Falls are dry in winters)
Later Proceed for Laitlum Canyons is the perfect place to get wide, sweeping and picturesque views of the state of Meghalaya. The name ‘Laitlum Canyons’ literally means end of the world or end of hills. It is located about 45 km from the city of Shillong. Trekkers, adventure lovers and thrill seekers can have a grand time as the place offers long, rocky and lush green treks. The best time to visit the place is in the afternoon hours as mornings are usually foggy, and the view cannot be enjoyed properly.

DAY 03: SHILLONG-MWALLYNONG-DAWKI EXCURSION-CHERRAPUNJEE (110 KM/3 HRS ONE WAY)
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel.
Morning proceeds for day excursion Dawki (Indo-Bangladesh Border) will provide you a serene view but will also add memories that you can cherish forever. The main attraction here, apart from the extreme natural beauty and peace, is the Dawki Bridge. It is a suspension bridge over the Umngot River and serves as a place from where all tourists can enjoy some spectacular panoramic views.
Enjoy boat ride on River Dawki on direct payment (one of the cleanest rivers on earth) also you can try some snacks selling vendors from Bangladesh.
Later drive to visit Mwallynong Village
Mwallynong The Cleanest Village in Asia, in eastern India’s Mawlynnong village, tidying up is a ritual that everyone – from tiny toddlers to toothless grannies – takes very seriously. This small, 600-odd person town in the Meghalaya region is renowned as the cleanest village in India. And for India, that’s really saying something. Discarded bottles and crumpled food wrappers mixed with cow dung – and worse – are simply part of the topography in most of the country. Mawlynnong is already way ahead of the curve, though. It was declared the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 and the cleanest in India in 2005 by Discover India magazine. This claim to fame stuck, and the village has become a regional legend and source of pride. Walk in, and all the typical rubbish is mysteriously, miraculously absent.
Living Root Bridge: Living Root Bridge is a Tree Bridge, while visiting Meghalaya one must visit this beautiful place. Please wear good shoes which have a good grip as you will have to go on stairs which are not smooth, avoid high heels and fancy shoes, sandals. Evening drive to Cherrapunjee

DAY 04: IN CHERRAPUNJEE
Breakfast at hotel Morning proceeds for Shiva Rock, seven sister Waterfalls, Mawsmai Caves, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Arway Caves Daithlen Falls, and Wai Sawdong waterfalls (Pls note, it’s a difficult trekking on Fit persons can go, as ladders made by locals by using Bamboos and other materials available in the forest, Carry your stuffs for bathing cloths but no soap and shampoos), Garden of Caves
(Falls are active during rainy season)
OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL IN CHERRAPUNJEE

(Nogrihat Trekking can be done, but it is not advisable to children and old age people)
Morning proceed for trekking experience will take you to the majestic double-decker living root bridge of Cherrapunji and also Rainbow Fall. (Please note, there are over 3000 stair which guest needs to go to reach Double decker Bridge and return, it’s a whole day activity)
It’s not advisable to Senior Citizens and carry comfortable shoes, avoid High Heels, and fancy shoes.
We suggest you take local guide who will guide you to properly double decker root bridge (supplement charges applicable)

DAY 05: CHERRAPUNJEE-BAMBOO TREK (MAWRYNGKHANG TREK)-SHILLONG
Morning breakfast, proceed for excursion Bamboo Trek (Mawryngkhang Trek)
Wahkhen village is located in the Pynursla Tehsil of East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya, India. It is 42km away from Shillong. Renowned for its traditional bamboo bridges constructed on huge rocks, the Mawryngkhang Tourist Trekking spot at Wahkhen, Pynursla. Mawryngkhang trek – A trek to the legendary King of Stones in Wahkhen village of Meghalaya.‘Wah’ means ‘river’ and ‘Khen’ means ‘to flow’.The Mawryngkhang trek involves walking on bamboo bridges over broomstick farms and deep gorges. It takes 2 to 3 hours depending upon your physical fitness and the number of breaks you take en- route.

DAY 06: SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI AIRPORT
After breakfast you will be driven to Guwahati Airport
You will be driven to Guwahati Airport / Railway station to board your flight/train for your onwards journey, with loads of energy as you choose a trip where you could breathe healthily.
